Producing Music With A.I. Are we Cheating Ourselves, or is it a Tool?

The rise in audio tools that incorporate A.I technology with the likes of iZotope, and Hexachords being a prime example.  How does the music industry feel about using such technology in their own productions.  I posted a poll on twitter to get some thoughts on the matter, see below for details:

The poll illustrates an impressive acceptance towards A.I technology.  It's important to remember that this was a small sample size of 38 participants, and the results could differ with a larger group.

Reilly, D (2018) explains the stigma that is associated with using A.I technology to produce music, and how it can be seen as a form of cheating by some composers or songwriters.  In the space of a year with the release of popular software suites by iZotope, and other brands like Hexachords with Orb Composer, or Sonible and their Smart EQ, have all most likely contributed to the tolerance or acceptance of using such software within the music industry and their communities.
